How do I join the Official Atomic Mass Games Discord?
You can find our server here: https://discord.gg/atomicmassgamesofficial
Be sure to read and react to the rules in the #server-rules channel as well as select your role preferences in the #role-selection section so that you can engage in the parts of the server that most interest you.
Why should we care about an Official Discord when there are already established community Discord servers around your games?
We are very grateful to the members of the community who are out there creating engaging safe havens for members of the community to discuss and share their hobby. The main difference between what we are providing on our Discord server vs. what others are is that it is a direct line from our studio to you and we use it to re-inforce official communication. We’re also a company making officially licensed products. This means there are requirements on our Discord that you might not find elsewhere. We’re not looking to replace these other community run channels because they still bring their own unique points of view and community engagement styles to the table. However, we do ask that all Discord communities and FB groups around our games add the word “unofficial” as per our IP Policy listed on our website to distinguish what is player run from what is officially from managed by our team.
You launched a new website and there are some errors. How do we report them?
No matter how much you plan for a website migration, there are still things that get a little wonky in that process. We’ve been working through a queue of internal tickets to address updates. If you happen to find something you believe is an error, please send it to info@atomicmassgames.com with the subject line “website” and we’ll have a look. Thank you!
I missed Ministravaganza – where can I find VODs and written summaries from announcement panels?
We have an event page for Ministravaganza 2023 with drop down menus for each day that should get you exactly that – all in one place. https://www.atomicmassgames.com/ministravaganza/
Why weren’t there game streams during Ministravaganza?
There are lots of amazing content creators out there, making top tier gameplay content. Starting with Ministravaganza this year, we wanted to use our time with you to give you things you can only get from us, whether that’s a first look at painting a product you won’t see until next year, announcement panels, or insight from our development team on how they think about game design for our lines. We know there are folks who love gameplay content and we encourage you to discover content creators who are built to offer that content with greater production value and focus.
Now that Ministravaganza is over, when can we expect the next big drop of roadmaps?
We’ll see you at Adepticon with more roadmaps for our game lines!
Why are roadmap panels non specific about the timeline for releases?
We are doing our best to tell you what you have to look forward to in the short term, while also making clear what’s in the future – and what we call “the far future.”
Sometimes we refer to things in financial terms – like Q1. This means the first quarter of the year. We did our best on those panels to give folks a sense of our estimated timeline – whether that’s within the next six month or a year+ down the line, but it’s far too early for us to be putting down dates on a lot of these things because we still need that wiggle room in case anything happens. As always, when something hits the Asmodee shop, it’s listed with an estimated release date and we update those if anything changes.
Can we have an update on the Star Wars™: Legion Battleforce component replacement kits for those affected by the misprints?
We are still working out next steps for how LGS will be able to request and provide component kits for the affected products. The component kits have arrived but we want to make sure stores understand how to request them and that the process can be smooth for you. We will make a post with instructions as soon as this solution is available for those affected by the misprints in Echo Base Defenders, 501st Legion, and Separatist Invasion Force.
What is the actual confirmed estimated release date for the Star Wars™: Shatterpoint mission pack, Sabotage Showdown?
We can confirm that the date we stated during Ministravaganza, November 3rd, is the official release date of the Sabotage Showdown Mission Pack. Thank you to everyone who let us know there was an error with the listing. It should be correct on store.asmodee.com.
During Ministravaganza it seemed like many products being discussed wouldn’t be released until next year. Is there anything coming out before the end of the year, or what?
We build in a lull in product announcement the back half of the year for a few reasons. As we’ve said before, there are a lot of things that affect a release between approvals, supply chain issues, etc. If we have something that needs to be pushed back for whatever reason, there’s a place for it when we leave a spot.
The holidays are also a big time to compete against other posts/advertisements in your social feeds and we don’t want our announcements to get lost in the deluge of posts that are driven by that time of year.
While the holiday season is in full swing, our team has the opportunity to take well deserved PTO or to take time to make key decisions and content for the following year without the pressure of working around announcements and event travel is really key for us. Hopefully it also gives folks time to catch up on their painting queues!
We’ll have a few product pre-order announcements in November, so look out for those. As always when we are able to post/speak about things, we will! In the meantime we have a bunch of content planned to share surrounding our Marvel: Crisis Protocol painting competition, The Path of the Worthy, as well as some Staff Hobby Features to share.
