Today we’ve added a new version of the Core Rules for Marvel: Crisis Protocol to the website. This is the version of the Core Rules found inside the Earth’s Mightiest Core Set! Inside this updated rulebook you will encounter beautiful new art, stunning new photography, and best of all, all the previous clarifications and errata to the previous Core Rules can be found and referenced in one place. Several sections of the book have received wording updates from the original that should make the rules easier to understand and clarify common questions. This rule book features no functional changes to the game you know and love – it only makes all the rules easier to find and understand.

The only inclusion in the book that is brand new is the addition of “Active: Action” Team Tactic Cards! These tactic cards are a special subset of Active Team Tactic Cards that can only be played during a character’s activation. The character must spend one of their Actions to use them. We added this for several reasons, but the main one is this delineation will help clarify what Team Tactic Cards that have attacks on them require the character to use an Action to use the attack.
